Do You REALLY Have Business Acumen?
Take this Quick Quiz to find out
Business Savvy begins with business acumen.
“I understand my company. Do I have Business Acumen?”
I used to think I had business acumen. As a curious, big picture thinker I learned all I could about the companies I worked in. I understood the overall structure, knew what most of the departments did, I knew what business we were in and I had a pretty good idea of who were our customers.
But after discovering The Missing 33% of the career success equation for women (the subject of my TED Talk) I knew that I had to dig deeper. Not only for my own benefit, but because I wanted to bring a clarion call to ambitious women about the importance of developing, enhancing and demonstrating their business, financial and strategic acumen - what I now call Business Savvy.
By digging deeper, I discovered that I had only a small portion of what it would take to truthfully say I had business acumen.
I’m not the only one. Women all around the world who participated in my leadership programs told me the same.
You might also be in the same boat. After all, it’s hard to step into the shoes of the executive team and understand the business from their perspective.
Furthermore, it’s not enough to have business acumen. For the sake of our career, we have to demonstrate that we have it.
That’s why I’ve created a quiz that you can take to see how far along you are in your journey to develop/enhance and demonstrate your business acumen.
It matters not only in and of itself, but also because business acumen is the foundation of Business Savvy!
Here’s the Quiz
